Edwardes Lake Park is located in Reservoir in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. An athletics track has existed at the site since at least the 1950s, when a cinder track replaced the grass track that was present. Edwin Flack Reserve is located in Berwick in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. The venue was established in the early 1990s and was originally known as Berwick Recreation Reserve. It was renamed in 1996 to honour the centenary of Edwin Flack winning Australia’s first gold medals at the inaugural modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. Willinda Park is located in Greensborough in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The track is located on the former site of market gardens. It was originally constructed as a 300m grass track in 1967, before being upgraded to a rubberised bitumen surface in 1974. Brauerander Park is located in Warrnambool on the south-western coast of Victoria. The track was laid in 2007 and is managed by Warrnambool City Council. The surface was reportedly in very poor condition, having weathered significantly, but was resurfaced in March 2023.
