An athletics track has existed at the site since at least the 1950s, when a cinder track replaced the grass track that was present. Brauerander Park is located in Warrnambool on the south-western coast of Victoria. The track was laid in 2007 and is managed by Warrnambool City Council. The surface was reportedly in very poor condition, having weathered significantly, but was resurfaced in March 2023.
