The venue is named after Pat Parker, who worked for many years for “Young Husbands” Wodonga Branch. Due to her two sons being involved in Little Athletics and Wodonga Athletics, Mrs Parker became a great worker with the athletics club. It was because of her dedication and great involvement when the athletic park was opened at a cost of $200,000, it was named in her honour.
The track is always open to the public when the Wodonga Little Athletics Centre and Wodonga Athletics Club are not operating a competition or training program.
The venue is managed by City of Wodonga.
