With a proud history dating back to 1873, Melbourne University Athletics Club is one of the oldest sporting clubs in Australia. Over the years, MUAC has been the home club for many famous athletes including Olympic and Commonwealth Games and world championships champions, medallists and competitors.
One of the strongest athletics clubs in Australia, MUAC remains the athletics club of choice for current and past Melbourne University students, staff and friends. Its traditional home, the Rawlinson Track, sits proudly in the beautiful environs of the northern edge of the Melbourne University campus, adjacent to the famous cricket field and surrounded by the halls of residence.
MUAC members enjoy the expert training advice of fully qualified coaches amidst leading edge on-campus facilities. And while national and international standard athletes continue to forge ongoing success for the Club, we pride ourselves on welcoming runners, throwers, jumpers and walkers of all standards, ages and abilities. MUAC members, who do not have to be students of the university, enjoy the expert training advice of fully qualified coaches amidst leading edge on-campus facilities.
Melbourne University Athletics Club acknowledges that we train and compete, and the Rawlinson Track sits, on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation who have been and are the custodians of the land. We pay respects to their Elders past and present.
