    The third edition of the Australian Short Track Championships will be held at Lakeside Stadium.

    The inaugural edition was held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre in 2024.

    Short track is the new name for what was previously called Indoor athletics by World Athletics. Taking advantage of the change of definition the Australian Short Track Championships are run outdoors, as Australia does not have any indoor athletics venues for competition. It holds Category D status within the World Athletics rankings framework, meaning that points can be accrued towards qualifying for the World Championships, but qualifying marks can’t be achieved.

    2026 EVENTS:

    Men: 60m, 60m H, Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put

    Women: 60m, 60m H, Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put

    The meet will be followed by a Victorian Milers Club meet, featuring 800m and Mile (including the Victorian Mile Championships)
