The Maitland Regional Athletics Centre features a synthetic track. Construction of the venue cost $10.5m, with the facility being officially opened on 12 October 2020. Ern Holmes Oval is a seasonal grass track located in the Sydney suburb of Pennant Hills. Hensley Athletics Field was the first modern all weather synthetic athletics track laid in Australia. The track was developed by Randwick Botany Harriers, who in 1965 took out a 21 year lease on the site of a former tip. The track was initially rubberised bitumen. The Mingara Regional Athletics Centre is located on the NSW Central Coast. The track was opened on 5 November 2000 and was most recently resurfaced in April 2019 as a blue Rekortan surface. Alfred Henry Whaling Memorial Reserve is a well maintained grass athletics track located in the Hills District of Sydney. The venue has excellent drainage and is very durable in wet weather.
