    The Peter Hannan Athletics Oval within Pizzey Park is a beautiful grass track located on the Gold Coast.

    The track is part of the larger park complex which is just a short drive (or longer run) from the beach.

    The venue features synthetic long jump runways.

    The track is named after Peter Hannan, a longtime track and field coach, who along with is wife Sharon, have made a significant contribution to the development of athletics on the Gold Coast.

    The venue is managed by Gold Coast City Council.

      See that they are redeveloping this facility including the athletics track. Hope they keep it the Peter Hannan Athletics Track and maybe even include his wife Sharon (Shaz). They are two of the greatest coaches Australia has ever produced and I think it would be a wonderful recognition of their effort over 40 years.
