The Victorian Country Track & Field Championships offers events in age groups from U14 up to 60+. The event is open to both metropolitan and country athletes.
John Landy Athletics Field is located in Geelong, Victoria. It is named after 1956 Olympic 1500m bronze medalist, John Landy, who was the second man to ever break four minutes for the mile. The Victorian Under 14 to Under 18 Championships are conducted in single year age groups, with athletes needing to be under the age at 31 December in the year of the competition. The Victorian 5000m Championships feature graded races that culiminate in the Victorian titles for the distance. The event has been held separately as a standalone event to the Victorian Championships since 2007. Venues have included the former Olympic Park, Lakeside Stadium and Hagenauer Reserve, Box Hill.
