    Elite athletics returns to the Apple Isle for the second consecutive year with the Hobart Track Classic, set for Saturday, 20 March at Domain Athletics Centre.

    The meet returned to the national calendar for the first time since 2016 in 2026, as a result of the cancellation of the Sydney Track Classic. The meet will be staged as a World Athletics Continental Tour – Bronze level event, giving athletes the opportunity to earn world ranking points, prize money and valuable selection performances ahead of major international championships: one of only five meets annually in Australia where qualifying performances can occur.

    The meet is conducted by Australian Athletics.
