The Victorian 5000m Championships feature graded races that culiminate in the Victorian titles for the distance. The event has been held separately as a standalone event to the Victorian Championships since 2007. Venues have included the former Olympic Park, Lakeside Stadium and Hagenauer Reserve, Box Hill. The Zatopek:10 is an annual high performance meet in Melbourne, which features elite 10,000m races. The 10,000m races has traditionally incorporated the Australian Championship for the distance.
