Blacktown International Sportspark Athletics Centre was opened in 2000 as a training venue for international teams prior to the Olympic Games. The track is a Mondo surface and is managed by Blacktown Sports Park, on behalf of Blacktown Council. In addition to hosting interclub level competition, Athletics NSW has in the past used the venue for the NSW Relay Championships. Read more…
The Zatopek:10 is an annual high performance meet in Melbourne, which features elite 10,000m races. The 10,000m races has traditionally incorporated the Australian Championship for the distance. The Australian All Schools Championships will be held in Perth from 8-10 December 2023. The Australian All Schools Championships currently features events in age groups from Under 14 to Under 18. The meet dates back to 1976. Competitors are chosen to compete for their state by their state athletics association, usually based on results from the state all school championships. Read more…
The Treloar Shield Final is the culmination of Athletics NSW’s annual interclub competition. The competition has been conducted for close to a century and was renamed in 2013/14 in honour of the late John Treloar, a finalist in the 100m at the 1952 Olympic Games.
