    Newstead Athletics was established in 1933 in Launceston, making it the oldest club in the north and the second-oldest athletic club in Tasmania.

    The club conducts its cross-country programme between April and September around the Launceston area and participates in the local track and field competition at the St Leonards track from October to March.

    Coaching is available at all events, and potential athletes of all ages, regardless of experience and ability, are welcome to come along to training or competition.
