The Sydney Track Classic is the premier invitational high performance athletics meet annually held in Sydney. The meet has been cancelled for the 2026 season, due to the resurfacing of SOPAC not being complete in time for the meet to be held. The Griffith Regional Sports Centre features a synthetic track which was opened in early 2023. The venue was as part of a $31m development of a sport precinct in the north-western Riverina city.
