    Nelson Park is also used for hockey and other recreational activities. In 2012 a report was commissioned by Glenelg Shire regarding the feasibility of synthetic surfaces being installed at the venue, but there has been no change from the natural grass surface.

The meet has been cancelled for the 2026 season, due to the resurfacing of SOPAC not being complete in time for the meet to be held.
