The La Birpa Athletics Complex is located in Bendigo. It was opened in 1999 and was previously called the La Trobe University Bendigo Athletics Complex.
The track is a Rekortan surface and was last resurfaced in 2018.
The venue also features Polytan SmarTracks technology, which provides for the automatic detection of time, speed, jump height, step count, and more. Athletes wear a sensor which relies on a set of the magnets installed in lanes 9 and 10 for sprints at 10 metre intervals, and at 50 metre intervals in lanes 1 and 2. The technology allows automatic upload and visualisation of performance results.
The venue has recently had lighting installed. It is open 4pm to 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with swipe card access through the venue manager.
The venue has a 75 spot car park, with additional parking available in Cook St.
The venue is managed by Athletics Bendigo.
The track is a Spurtan BV surface and is a World Athletics Class 2 Certified Facility.

Peter forgot to mention quality lighting to a championship standard for night racing. The track offering of Tuesday summer night 3k/5k time trials that anyone can attend is a massive highlight for this community track that is so accessible at the best standard
Track is in very good condition. Has a WA Class B rating. Athletics Bendigo has a full range of quality equipment including 2 sets of Finish Lynx Cameras plus integrated wind gauge; 85 quality WA hurdles and Little Athletics Hurdles.
