Blacktown International Sportspark Athletics Centre was opened in 2000 as a training venue for international teams prior to the Olympic Games.
The track is a Mondo surface and is managed by Blacktown Sports Park, on behalf of Blacktown Council.
In addition to hosting interclub level competition, Athletics NSW has in the past used the venue for the NSW Relay Championships.
The venue is usually open for training between 4pm and 10pm, Monday to Friday.
The venue was the site of filming of the athletics scenes in the movie Unbroken, which was directed by Angelina Jolie and chronicles the life of US Olympian Louie Zamperini.
