    The Victorian Track & Field Championships have been held since 1891.

    The meet has incorporated both male and female genders since 1983. Prior to this time, separate men’s and women’s championships were conducted.

    The meet is conducted by Athletics Victoria in Open and U20 categories and accrues World Athletics Category E ranking points in the opens.
