      The La Birpa Athletics Complex is located in Bendigo. It was opened in 1999 and was previously called the La Trobe University Bendigo Athletics Complex. The track is a Rekortan surface and was last resurfaced in 2018.     The Adelaide Invitational is a World Athletics Continental Tour – Challenger meet accrues Category D ranking points for World Athletics Rankings. The one-day meet has been held annually since 2022 as part of Australian Athletics’s high performance circuit. Prior to this, Adelaide had regularly held similar meets through to the 2014 season.
