The inaugural hosting of a joint event as athletics in Australia moves towards unity:
-
April 12 – 14, 2026 – Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC)
-
April 15 – 20, 2026 – Australian Athletics Junior Championships (AAJC)
For the first time, Australian Athletics (AA) and Little Athletics Australia (LAA) will align their premier junior events, creating a unified celebration of the sport in Brisbane in 2026.
The Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) and the Australian Athletics Junior Championships (AAJC) will run back-to-back at QSAC, showcasing thousands of athletes from across the country – from Under 12s through to Under 20s.
This landmark event reflects closer collaboration between AA and LAA and provides a clear pathway for athletes, from grassroots to elite, as Australia looks ahead to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
