The Victorian Milers Club was founded in 2005 and runs a series of middle distance meets in Melbourne each year. The club is modelled on the British Milers Club. The Victorian Junior Track & Field Championships (Under 14 to Under 18) is conducted in single year age groups, with athletes needing to be under the age at 31 December in the year of the competition. Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre is located in Wollongong. The venue was originally named the Beaton Park Athletics Centre. It opened in 1993, with the track being renamed after the late Kerryn McCann in 2009.
