The Victorian Milers Club was founded in 2005 and runs a series of middle distance meets in Melbourne each year. The club is modelled on the British Milers Club. The Victorian 5000m Championships feature graded races that culiminate in the Victorian titles for the distance. The event has been held separately as a standalone event to the Victorian Championships since 2007. Venues have included the former Olympic Park, Lakeside Stadium and Hagenauer Reserve, Box Hill. Harold Corr Oval is a synthetic track located in Cambridge Park in Sydney’s west. The venue was previously a grass track before being converted to a synthetic surface following a $4.5M upgrade. The synthetic track was opened in September 2023 and is a World Athletics Class 2 facility. The venue is managed by Penrith City Council. Read more…
Blacktown International Sportspark Athletics Centre was opened in 2000 as a training venue for international teams prior to the Olympic Games. The track is a Mondo surface and is managed by Blacktown Sports Park, on behalf of Blacktown Council.
